Membership Meeting and Fall Course 2014: Composition and Latin American Culture
Join us for our monthly membership meeting followed by our third installment of our Fall Course. Deborah De La Torre's award-winning career spans over 35 years of performing, composing, teaching, and making significant contributions in arts and and culture. She has recently completed another technically advanced piano work titled "La Almendrah," which is a Latin-Jazz piano duo-concerto. Her presentation will explore Latin American composers and why their music is so much more than those "sizzling hot rhythms".
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Location: 155 Hampden Ave, Englewood
